Dr. Jeannina Ruiz, Ph.D., ACS, NCC

Jeannina is a licensed mental health professional and certified Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) specialist practicing in New Jersey and Florida. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and a Ph.D. in Counseling and Supervision. She is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor awarded by the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) and a National Certified Counselor by the National Board for Certified Counselors.

With extensive experience in crisis intervention, in-home services, outpatient care, and telehealth, she specializes in trauma-informed therapy for youth, adults, and families. Using an integrative approach rooted in person-centered, existential-humanistic, and psychodynamic frameworks, she helps clients navigate attachment, communication, behavioral challenges, mood stability, and trauma. Jeannina is also a certified Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy specialist for clients interested in alternative treatments.

Your Role as a Clinician at Seek Serenity:

Provide weekly evidence-based care through synchronous live video sessions to adults, and/or children and their families with a wide range of emotional disorders

Collaborate with psychiatric providers to support comprehensive treatment and with fellow counselors as part of the growing therapist community

Draw on automatically administered symptom self-assessments, functional improvement, and goal progress measures to monitor and adjust treatment plans

Maintain timely clinical documentation through our user-friendly, reliable counselor portal that includes digital tools for streamlined documentation

Receive support and consultation from the Therapy Leadership Team when needed

What we are looking for:
-
Master’s or doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited program

Preferably 2 years of recent experience providing cognitive behavioral therapy and other evidence-based interventions to individual adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders.

Must welcome treating all populations, be comfortable working with a diverse range of mental health disorders, and be committed to delivering culturally responsive care.

Tech-savviness and enthusiasm for integrating digital solutions into clinical practice
